It's Been A Quiet 10 Days

So yeah, it's been a pretty dead week as far as the blog goes. With the exception of the return of Lost of course, there has not been much to discuss, so here's a couple of tidbits for you to enjoy.

Firstly, I came across another brand, CTRL, who get out some pretty unique stuff, which still mixes a lot of different styles together. Check out CTRL @
http://www.ctrlclothing.com/.

Secondly, Lupe Fiasco has officially announced that the first disc of LupENd, Everywhere, will be released in June of this year. Of course, with the delays that all artists seem to have, expect this around July/August.

Also, a new 'rap beef' has emerged in the last 2 weeks or so, that of Joe Budden and Saigon. It kicked off with Budden releasing a diss track called 'Letter To Saigon' (or so I believe that's where it was rooted, I may be wrong) and they've been going back and forth since on various tracks which I haven't got around to listening to yet.

Opinions?

RE: the beef, it all started a year ago when joe budden mentioned saigon's name in one of his punchlines in reference to saigon punching prodigy and running away (so he wouldn't get stomped out by the 30+ mobb deep entourage). saigon took offence and they've been taking jabs at eachother in interviews over the past year. a few weeks ago saigon released a video of him saying next time he sees joe budden in person he was gunna beat him up, which is what lead to budden releasing the 1st diss track. joe budden's second diss track to saigon "pain in his life" is the best one he did. and many thought (myself included) that saigon wouldn't be able to respond to that. saigon responded with the track "pushin buddens" and he goes hard! give those two tracks a listen for sure ajay. in saigon's latest interview he said that he won't be making anymore tracks as he's not a battle rapper by trade and wants to be remembered for doing something great in the music biz.

The tracks you mention are two of the ones I own. I swear one of the tracks is actually Saigon Ft. Prodigy, but I may be wrong. Will give them a listen soon, cheers for clearing that up!

yeah the saigon ft prodigy track is the 1st diss saigon released against joey - called underachiever, it's not actually a feature by prodigy, saigon just ripped some interview prodigy did a while ago dissing joe budden and stuck it at the end of the track for some bizarre reason.
