Yes. YES! Following on from my post a few weeks back about the members of Blink speaking to each other again, Blink-182 are officially back. At the Grammy's last night, they presented an award together, and appeared together as Blink-182 for the first time in 4 years. They then went on to explicitly state that 'Blink-182 is back!'. As any of you who know me will know by now, I nearly passed out upon finding this out.
The official Blink website also has this message: "Hi. We're Blink-182. This past week there've been a lot of questions about the current status of the band, and we wanted you to hear it straight from us. To put it simply, We're back. We mean, really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. In the studio writing and recording a new album. Preparing to tour the world yet again. Friendships reformed. 17 years deep in our legacy. Summer 2009. Thanks and get ready."
According to David Kennedy of Angels and Airwaves, this does not mean the end of them either, apparently both Blink and Angels will have new albums this year.
Oh god. Summer-HURRY UP.
